Made With Oak, Styled By You: The Harbour Desk

There’s no doubting that 2020 was the year of the home office, desk or make shift dining room-come-study! With more remote working than ever before, we’ve had to create a space that’s not only comfortable for a full day’s work but is also suitable for those regular video conference calls!

Over the past year, one of our most popular products has been the Harbour Desk. Made using reclaimed wood from retired fishing boats, the desk has a unique, ethereal finish that slots right in with a range of interiors. If you’re thinking of upgrading your home office, here’s a little round-up of some of our customer spaces to give you a touch of inspiration.

1. The minimalist man cave

Reclaimed wood works really well with stripped back, neutral interiors like in this man cave! The snake plant, pendant light and black framed mirror are the perfect finishing touches for this office come hideaway!

2. A room with a view

What better place to position your desk at home than in front of a bright and airy window with a view across fields! The perfect place to gaze out and take a rest bite from the screen.

3. An office in full bloom

This shade of blue works well against the reclaimed wood, helping to really set off the natural shades in the oak. Fresh flowers add to the vibrancy and are a great way to bring a little cheer to the working day, paired with a cheeky jar of M&Ms for that mid-afternoon pick me up we all need!

4. Monotone chic

When it comes to the home office, less is more. A minimalist space, without clutter helps to keep the mind clear and aid a productive day. Succulents and plants like in this space also help to purify the air and have been scientifically proven to help reduce stress.
